Children at Huntingtree complete a fortnightly spelling quiz using words that are provided in advance for children to learn. The number of spellings to learn vary between year groups. Half of the spellings will relate to a spelling 'rule' or 'pattern', which has been looked at in class. These words will similar e.g., perhaps they all end with the same 'suffix' (a group of letters added to a root word). The second half is more of a mixture of words based on guidance from the National Curriculum. 

Reminders of upcoming spellings to learn are provided regularly by class teachers via Class Dojo, alongside the overviews which can be found below.
